Yaiza Ayuntamiento has unveiled the poster and key attractions for the eagerly anticipated Playa Blanca Carnival, setting the stage for a four-day festive extravaganza from 12th to 15th March 2026.

Embracing the theme “Gods of Olympus”, the official carnival poster was selected through a public competition. Gran Canaria designer Armando Arencibia Martín secured the 1,200-euro prize with his digital artwork, “Olimpo en Yaiza”, chosen from 15 submitted proposals.

A Line-Up to Get the Island Moving

The musical programme promises high energy. The acclaimed group Nueva Línea, featuring vocalists Alicia Padilla, Sofía Marrero, Raquel González and Mayte Cabrera, will headline the Day Carnival on Sunday, 15 March. The group is expected to deliver their infectious hits, including their popular version of “Noche de copas”.

Adding a vibrant Latin flavour, Henry Méndez will perform on Friday, 13 March. His signature fusion of Latin rhythms with electronic and pop music is designed to ensure the streets of Playa Blanca come alive.

Councillor Daniel Medina stated the aim is to craft a programme “so that partygoers won’t be tempted to stay at home,” ensuring a carnival that captivates the entire south of Lanzarote.

The full programme will be announced later this month.
