A catamaran has run aground on the stone breakwater at Marina Rubicón, Playa Blanca.
The accident appears to be a result of the rough seas and unpredictable winds that have affected the island in recent days. A yellow alert for rough seas remains in place until midnight tonight.
All crew managed to safely leave the boat, which has apparently been destroyed by the collision.
