Woman injured in car collision in Teguise

A woman has been injured in a collision between a car and a van in Teguise yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 12:50pm yesterday afternoon, emergency services were alerted to a collision between two vehicles on the Avenida Gran Aldea in Teguise.

Upon arrival, firefighters found that the driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles was trapped inside after the crash and had to be freed. The driver was then assessed by an ambulance before being taken to the Dr Jose Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife for further treatment.

The driver of the van was able to leave the vehicle by their own means, reportedly in good health.

The vehicles were removed from the road and any debris was cleared.
