Strong winds and a rise in temperatures are predicted for today and tomorrow, with a light high calima also on the cards.
In parts of Tías and Yaiza, the northern alisio winds are expected to reach 45 kph and 50 kph tomorrow afternoon. Elsewhere on the island wind will be around 35 kph, Temperatures will see maximums of 28 degrees Celsius – warm, but nothing to compare with recent heatwaves.
No warning s have been issued for Lanzarote, although the Western Canary Islands are on yellow alert for rough seas, suggesting that it could be fairly choppy here, too.
A light, high calima is also predicted, bringing an end to a spell of clear skies and clouds during which last night’s full moon could often be seen in all its glory.
