Donna Hightower was an American soul and jazz singer who moved to Spain in the late 60s. 50 years ago, in 1973, she came to Lanzarote to film a musical TV spectacular directed by Valerio Lazarov, whose choreography and bizarre and surreal space-age routines were popular at the time.
The show is now available on the website of Spain’s national broadcaster RTVE, and provides a fascinating look at Lanzarote as it was 50 years ago, at the birth of its time as a tourist destination.

Fly Me To The Moon (Ruta de los Volcanes) – 11.15
Mira Mis Manos (Arrecife, Castillo de San Gabriel; El Golfo) – 18.05
