The Cabildo has announced that a million Euros will be spent on a cycle path between the towns of Yaiza and Uga.

The path will solve a longstanding problem for both local cyclists and tourists, who have either had to cycle on one of the most dangerous stretches of road on the island or use rough dirt paths between the towns.

Public Works councilor Jacobo Medina said “We continue to support the creation of spaces that not only solve problems but also encourage healthy and environmentally-friendly activities.”

The path will form part of the Accessibility Plan being carried out in all seven municipalities of Lanzarote.
