Two workers treated after kitchen fire breaks out in Puerto del Carmen bar

Two workers at a Puerto del Carmen bar were treated for smoke inhalation after a kitchen fire broke out yesterday.

Firemen attended the blaze at the Purple Turtle Sports Bar on Calle Reina Sofía at around 11 am, and discovered that the fire, which appears to have originated from a pan, had already been extinguished by staff.

After checking that there was no chance of the fire returning, a Canarian Health Service ambulance was called to assess the state of two workers who were showing signs of smoke inhalation. One worker was taken to the nearby health centre for treatment.
