Two women and two children trapped inside Lanzarote car hire depot

Firemen were called after two women and two children found themselves locked inside the depot of a car hire firm early on Monday morning.

The group had entered the depot just after midnight to pick up a car they had hired, but when they tried to leave they discovered that the exit had been closed.

Local police attempted to contact the business, and when they failed to do so, they authorised firefighters to open the door.
