Yesterday, a further two vehicle crashes were reported to the emergency services which resulted in injuries.
The first incident took place on Lanzarote’s Rambla Medular (Inner Ring Road) at 12.40am, when a car collided another and flipped onto its roof near the Cruz Roja centre. The occupant of the car appears to have suffered no serious injury. The speed limit on this road is 40 kph.
Less than two hours later, firemen had to rush to extract a man from a van which had flipped over after hitting a brick wall opposite the Teleclub in Los Valles. The man had trapped his hand between the vehicle and the road, and was taken to hospital by a Canarian Health Service ambulance after being freed.
