Tourist spending on Lanzarote reached a new record in 2025 and was the highest in the Canary Islands.
The average tourist spent €184 a day, according to the latest tourist spending survey carried out by the Canarian Institute of Statistics. This is €6 more than the 2024 figure of €177.90. Figures are not adjusted for inflation.
Most of this increase was spent on accommodation, which saw an increase of €6.30 a day, while expenditure on flights fell by an average of €2 a day.
The only other area of spending to see a significant change was food, which increased by almost €2 a day to €27.60.
Leisure spending rose by 40 cents a day, while shopping for goods fell by 50 cents.
Separate figures indicate that tourists spent €4.13 billion on Lanzarote holidays last year, €150 million more than the previous year.
