Tourist rescued from Famara cliffs after suffering a panic attack

Firemen rescued a tourist who had become disoriented and suffered a panic attack on the Famara cliffs yesterday.

The incident took place near at the Peñas del Chache, the highest point on Lanzarote. It appears that the man had strayed from the main path, become overwhelmed by high winds and steep drops in the area, and called for assistance.

A fireman made his way to the tourist and accompanied him to the beginning of the trail.
