Tourist incident at Lanzarote airport

A British tourist attempted to get into a private car that had just dropped a worker off at the airport, La Voz de Lanzarote reports.

The incident occurred on Friday morning, when the man, who was apparently under the influence of drink or drugs, tried to get into a car driven by a family member of a worker who had just been dropped off.  The car also contained a child.

The man had to be restrained by Guardia Civil agents, airport security staff and health workers, and has been “identified but not arrested”, according to the Guardia Civil. Following the incident he was taken to a health centre.
