The photo exhibition “Timanfaya, Art Created by the Volcano,” by landscape photographer José María Barreto is open to the public until the end of summer this year.

The exhibition is the result of a photographic journey through the rugged landscapes and whimsical formations of the Timanfaya National Park. Barreto’s previously unseen images capture the symphony of colours and textures that emerged after one of the largest volcanic eruptions of the contemporary era. Through his lens, you can observe vegetation pushing through the mineral world and life forms emerging in a seemingly barren territory.

The exhibition also aims to convey a message of respect for the Earth, the home of our origins. Barreto invites you to contemplate an intricate natural system where time, space, beauty, stillness, and geological diversity coexist.
