The Canarian Government has approved a €3 million project to widen an underpass in Tías.

The works will involve the demolition and rebuilding of the underpass which brings Calle Fajardo underneath the LZ-2 main road, connecting the main town of Tías with Los Lirios.

The new underpass will consist consisting of two lanes, each 3.5 meters wide, with shoulders of 0.5 meters on both sides. A separated pavement for pedestrians will also be built.

The project will involve the temporary closure of   two lanes of the LZ-2 road, leaving it as a single carriageway. However, no dates have yet been established for the works, and the tender for the project has not yet been issued.
