Tías Ayuntamiento have announced that the local police have seized 6 million euros worth of counterfeit goods after carrying out an anti-fraud operation at a clothes shop, including two warehouses with thousands of counterfeit products.
Five people have been arrested as a result of the operation, for purchasing counterfeit goods that were to be sold to the public.
According to the Tías local police, the search was carried out between the 14th and 18th of this month after observing brands on display that were on sale for much cheaper than their normal retail price.
The police searched the shop and warehouses to find thousands of counterfeit products in boxes.
