Tías Ayuntamiento have installed a total of 27 new solar streetlights in La Asomada, Mácher and Tías.

Three new lights have been installed in the car park of Centro de Educación Infantil y Primaria (CEIP) La Asomada-Mácher, five on the Camino El Cercado, one on the Camino del Puerto (Camino Los Olivos, Camino El Volcán, and two on the Camino La Tahona), and two on Calle Ancla in Puerto del Carmen.

The project has been financed from Tías Ayuntamiento’s own funds, with a total cost of 14,533.12 euros.

Tías Mayor, José Juan Cruz, stated that one of their objectives is to provide energy saving and low light/air pollution alternatives, always taking into account their commitment to fulfilling the sustainable development goals.
