Three years since Gary Watson’s disappearance on Lanzarote

The family of Gary James Watson, who disappeared in the early hours of St. Patrick’s Day in 2023, have renewed their appeals for information on the third anniversary of his disappearance.

Gary, who was 53 years old at the time of his disappearance, was last seen on the security cameras in the area of the Avenida Las Playas and Avenida Italia in Puerto del Carmen at 12.49 am in the early hours of Friday, March 17^th 2023. He was wearing a green-and-white Celtic FC shirt, grey shorts and white trainers.

There has been no trace of Gary since this sighting, despite several searches and appeals for information. His mother, Ann McMurray, insists he would not have gone anywhere near the sea.

Gary’s niece Darcie recently told the Daily Record “We miss Gary very much, and we will never stop fighting for answers for him. We’ll always do all we can to get answers, for the rest of our lives until we do. We’ll always keep fighting”.
