Three pateras carrying a total of 142 migrants were intercepted off the coasts of Lanzarote on Sunday, as boats take advantage of the calm weather to make crossings.
All three boats were escorted to the main pier in Arrecife, where occupants were assessed and processed.
453 people have so far been rescued in pateras in the first week of 2023.
