Three men arrested for robbery and assault in Arrecife

The National Police have arrested three young men, aged between 18 and 19, as the alleged perpetrators of several robberies and assaults in Arrecife.

Last month the police received complaints about a number of violent robberies in Arrecife. One of the reports stated that five men approached a man, assaulted and robbed him before two of them got into a taxi while the remaining three then assaulted the driver before all fleeing the scene.

During the investigation three of the five men were arrested and brought before a court. Days after being released the three committed an attack with a knife outside a squat. Later the perpetrators of the knife attack were arrested and subsequently imprisoned.
