Firemen were called to extinguish two separate fires involving sun loungers on Playa Cucharas in Costa Teguise last night.
The first incident occurred at 11.17 pm and involved 12 sun beds. The fire was put out, but the equipment was destroyed.
Later, at around 1 am, another fire involving 18 sun loungers also had to be put out.
Earlier, firemen had also attended a blaze in the garden of a hotel near Playa los Charcos, which had already been extinguished by hotel staff.
The fire services believe all three fires could have been deliberately provoked.
