Storm Ciarán caused several delays in flights to and from Lanzarote yesterday, as high winds battered north-western Europe.
A plane from Lanzarote to Santiago de Compostela was diverted to Seville, and a flight to Bilbao, also in northern Spain, was delayed by almost six hours.
Flights to Lanzarote from the UK were also affected, with planes from Birmingham, Bristol and Luton airports arriving several hours after their scheduled arrival time.
The storm now appears to calming, with yellow alerts for high wind (the lowest level) in operation today in northern Spain.
