Today will see Puerto del Carmen celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in full force, after a weekend of themed activities and concerts at the Plaza del Varadero. Here is a list of all of today’s official celebrations in Puerto del Carmen.
The party properly starts in the Plaza del Varadero at 1pm today, however, before that there will be a mass at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, a flag raising ceremony, followed by a tribute to five Irish business owners in Puerto del Carmen on the main stage.
After that is when the Plaza del Varadero is expected to really start to fill up, with local bars manning their stalls and live acts taking to the stage to perform all throughout the day. Expect performances from Al Murphy & Jordan Kay, Celtic Roots, Dave & Johnny Grogan, Gayle O Donovan, City Limits, Dessie Hynes, Danza Beatriz Senent, Sarah Finnegan & Steven Hogan, and Matt Keane & Band.
