Skeleton discovered near Charco del Palo

Coastal cleaning workers discovered skeletal human remains in a cave near Charco del Palo yesterday.

Local police were immediately informed, and upon discovering that the remains consisted of a human skeleton, from the knee to the spinal column, the Guardia Civil were called in.

The remains were collected and taken to a funeral parlour, where they will be analysed. There is, as yet, no indication of the identity of the body, how long it has been there or the cause of death.
