Sánchez to arrive on Lanzarote earlier than expected

Spain’s Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, is scheduled to arrive on Lanzarote for his summer holiday earlier than expected, la Voz de Lanzarote reports.

Sánchez may arrive as early as this weekend, and will be accompanied by Spain’s Interior Minister, Fernando Grande-Marlaska and the Catalan President, Salvador Illa.

Two years ago, Sánchez and Illa were photographed on a visit to Haría’s Saturday morning market.

As usual, Sánchez will stay at the “King’s House” in Las Maretas, Costa Teguise.

A recent proposal by the PP party members in the Cabildo to declare Sánchez persona non grata on Lanzarote has caused political turmoil on Lanzarote and was finally withdrawn without ever having a chance of being approved.
