Video footage shared online shows one British passenger walking up and down the aircraft aisle singing and dancing while fellow travellers reacted with a mixture of laughter, criticism and frustration. At one point, the man appeared to stumble after another passenger stuck out a leg as he returned to his seat. Several people could be seen filming the incident, while others shouted at him to sit down.

Ryanair confirmed the flight, which departed on June 10th, diverted to Faro Airport after two passengers became disruptive. Police met the aircraft on arrival and removed both individuals before the flight continued to Tenerife.

The footage has attracted thousands of views on social media, with many users calling for tougher penalties against unruly travellers.

The incident follows another recent disruption involving a flight to Tenerife. An easyJet service from London Gatwick was met by police after crew reported a disturbance involving a group of 12 passengers. The aircraft was given priority landing clearance at Tenerife South Airport and landed safely.
