Fire fighters were alerted to another rubbish container this week, this time in Arrecife, which resulted in two melted rubbish containers, a destroyed streetlight, and a damaged vehicle.
At approximately 9pm last night, fire fighters were alerted to yet another rubbish container fire on Calle Garajonay in Arrecife.
Upon arrival, the fire fighters found two destroyed containers on fire, a streetlight that had been badly damaged and collapsed, and a nearby car that had suffered serious damage.
The fire was safely extinguished, the car battery disconnected, and the streetlight removed.
