The CoRob-X lunar rover exploration vehicle will be on display in Haría at 4.30 today.
Lanzarote residents will have the rare chance to see a rover exploration vehicle in action today, as a CoRob-X (Co-operative Robots for Extreme Environments) rover is presented in the unlikely surroundings of the pretty Plaza de Haría.
The rover has been brought to Lanzarote as part of a project which uses caves in Haría to simulate conditions on the moon’s surface. The project involves mapping terrain, measuring gravity and investigating jameos (volcanic tunnels).
Haría Mayor Evelia García has invited all islanders who are interested to attend the display.
