Cabildo vice-president and head of public works, Jacobo Medina, is pleased with the progress of the roadworks on Calle Periodista Viera and Calle José Betancort, near the El Almacén in Arrecife.

Medina recently visited the work together with the Arrecife Mayor, Yonathan de León, to see firsthand the progress of the recent roadworks near the El Almacén.

“After completing the work on Calle La Porra, our attention is focused on these two streets that will greatly beautify the old town of the capital,” stated Medina, who stresses that these works “eliminates the architectural barriers of these three roads, generating a single platform and reducing the speed of vehicle traffic.”

De León, added that this work “will revitalise and transform this environment into much more accessible streets, also giving a boost to the commercial area of Arrecife”.

The roadworks will also include the installation of new street furniture and plants.
