Two bus passengers fined €4,000 each after serious incident on Lanzarote

Two passengers on the No.3 bus from Costa Teguise between Puerto del Carmen have been handed fines amounting to €4,000 each after an incident described as “very serious”.

The passengers will also have their bus passes withdrawn; it was announced by the Cabildo’s Department of Transport yesterday.

Exact details of the incident have not been reported, but the Cabildo reminded passengers that “we cannot allow uncivilized behaviour to alter the operation of the buses or generate situations of insecurity for passengers and the professionals who work every day to guarantee this service”.
