Lanzarote tourism made almost 3 billion Euros last year, the highest total ever recorded, according to figures from the Canarian Institute of Statistics.

The figures include money spent on holidays in the source country as well as on the island, and reflects the overall yield of Lanzarote tourism, rather than money spent on the island.

The two most profitable quarters were the third, in high summer, and the fourth, which includes Christmas holidays. The first quarter, when after-effects of the pandemic were still being strongly felt, was the least productive.

The dominant British market accounted for 48% of the total, with Germans, domestic Spanish tourists and the Dutch following in the spending tables.
