Puerto Calero road re-opened

The road connecting Puerto del Carmen with Puerto del Carmen was re-opened yesterday after being resurfaced.

Cabildo Public Works councillor Jacobo Medina said, “We’ve fulfilled a commitment to improve a road that was in a very poor state, and which is now in conditions fit for the locals, workers and visitors who use it.”

Medina explained that a water pipe running along the road, and which had been causing frequent subsidence, had also been replaced. The works were completed at a cost of €700,000.
