The Arrecife Local Police have seized more than 3,600 items of counterfeit clothing after dismantling the business selling the goods on Calle Usaje.

The Local Police conducted a search of the building on Calle Usaje and found various items of clothing from polo shirts, t-shire- sweatshirts, pants, hats, bags and backpacks in storage.

In addition to this, the Local Police seized six printing machines used to print designer logos onto the clothing to pass them off as authentic. More than eleven thousand logos were seized (that would’ve been used in the printing process to be adhered to the clothing items.)

Those involved in the running of the company have been taken to court, and could face a sentence of one to four years in prison, fines and compensation charges to affected brands.

According to the reports, there are indicators that the shop was supplying numerous stores on Lanzarote with counterfeit clothing.
