Playa Blanca smell complaints

Residents of Playa Blanca have denounced the bad smells coming from the sewage treatment plant on the road to Femes.

In response to complaints about the “unbearable smell”, Yaiza Ayuntamiento have said that the plant is the responsibility of Lanzarote’s water utility Canal Gestión, and urged residents to direct their complaints to the company.

El Diario reports that the owner’s community of Las Velas has lodged a complaint with Canal Gestión, alleging that the plant is failing.

They have called for Canal Gestión to find a solution that guarantees air quality and stops the contamination that is being caused.
