The Yaiza Ayuntamiento have installed pictures and illustrations of the port in the Tourist Office, until March 4th. Visitors can look at how the port has changed over the years.
The exhibition gives visitors a chance to observe pictures of the port from when it first opened 40 years ago, to today, and the Ayuntamiento encourage visitors to visit the exhibition from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 9am – 7pm.
Mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, stated that “we agreed with Puertos Canarios to open the exhibition so that residents and tourists can better understand the dimension and evolution of the municipality, which represents an investment of more than 40 million euros over the years.”.
In November last year the Puertos Canarios organised a conference displaying the new port at the Casa de la Cultura de Yaiza, which in addition to presenting the financing of the project, port characteristics and the importance of a new port, also lead the way to the exhibition that now features in the Tourist Office.
