IES Costa Teguise and IES Teguise secondary school students attended a presentation “Navigating the torrents of life: resilience” organised by the Ayuntamiento, Lanzarote Cabildo and the Asociación Cancheando Ando.

The presentations, coordinated by Calixto Herrara, aim to delve into resilience and the ability to face the daily challenges of life through adversity.

Teguise Education Councilor, Javier Díaz, is grateful that “this type of project is carried out at a time when mental health and suicide are concerns in our society,” and adds that “it is the responsibility of the administrations to provide learning tools for the psychological well-being of our youth, the transition to adult life and everything that entail. Especially during a crisis such as the pandemic.”.

First focussing on students, the next project will work with families.
