Salvamar, the air-sea rescue service, has intercepted a patera (boat carrying migrants) off the Lanzarote coast this morning, and the service is seeking two more vessels.
The intercepted boat contained 45 people, including six children and two women. It ahs been taken to the Commerical Pier at Arrecife.
