Papagayo earned €144,000 in the first half of the year

Yaiza has raised €144,000 in entry fees to Papagayo during the first six months of the year.

The sum was raised by the standard charge of €3 to non-residents accessing the beaches in a vehicle, suggesting that 48,000 vehicles visited the beaches in the first half of the year.

Yaiza also told La Voz de Lanzarote that the charge is not applied to all cars. “Usually we charge, but first thing in the morning and later in the evening, no.”. There are also entire days when no charges are taken due to staff shortages.
