The 36th edition of the Lanzarote Craft Fair has drawn to a triumphant close, shattering all previous attendance records with more than 80,000 visitors. The massive turnout solidifies the event’s status as one of the most significant cultural and artisan gatherings in the Canary Islands.

The Lanzarote Cabildo expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response from both residents and tourists. This year’s fair featured the quality and diversity of more than 100 artisans, with a special international guest delegation from San Antonio, Texas.

President of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, highlighted the fair’s significance: “The Craft Fair is much more than an exhibition and sales space. It has become an economic and cultural engine that guarantees the transmission of traditional crafts and, at the same time, opens the door to innovation. This year we have exceeded all expectations, reinforcing Lanzarote’s identity as a benchmark in the field of crafts.”

Councillor for Crafts, Aroa Revelo, extended her thanks to the community: “Thank you to all the participating artisans and to the public for joining in this celebration that reinforces the cultural identity of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, keeping our legacy alive.”

Echoing the sentiment, Councillor for Culture, Jesús Machín Tavío, noted: “the Fair transcends commerce and becomes a great cultural and social event. It is a space where tradition, music, gastronomy, sport, and heritage intertwine, reflecting the richness of our island identity.”
