A man suffered moderate injuries after two vehicles collided on the LZ-2 at the entrance to Playa Honda early on Wednesday morning, with one of the cars overturning and trapping its occupant.
The accident happened at around 7am. The emergency services despatched local police officers, firefighters and an ambulance to the scene.
Firefighters freed the trapped man from inside the overturned vehicle before transferring him to the ambulance.
Medical personnel treated the injured man at the scene before taking him to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital for further treatment.
