No filming at Las Grietas

Tías Ayuntamiento has turned down 29 official requests to film advertisements and publicity videos at Las Grietas.

Mayor Juan José Cruz told Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero that, “in a place that does not have the relevant authorisations, and which may suffer deterioration, our policy is to refuse all such requests.”

Tías has also requested all institutions on the island to remove references to the attraction on their websites, where it is often mentioned in descriptions of walking routes. 

Cruz also explained that the ditch that the council dug two weeks ago was not just to stop parking in a place where it has been prohibited, but also to protect cars from floods that could follow heavy rains.
