Nine minors arrested for the sun lounger fires in Costa Teguise

Nine minors have been arrested for setting fire to a large number of sun loungers on Playa Cucharas in Costa Teguise in March this year.

In March this year, firemen were called to extinguish two separate fires involving sun loungers on Playa Cucharas in Costa Teguise. The first incident occurred at 11.17 pm and involved 12 sun beds, and the second incident at 1am involved 18 sun beds.

The Guardia Civil have identified nine minors in connection to the fires as well as two supermarket thefts and another act of vandalism that saw a window cracked near Playa de las Cucharas.

They are all now awaiting the following legal proceedings.
