The improved LZ-48 road from Nazaret to the Agricultural Complex near San Bartolomé will be officially opened later today at 1 pm.
Work on the road commenced over a year ago, but the project has been delayed by problems with cables and street lights.
The new road will provide a quicker alternative route for cars from Arrecife and Tahiche to reach Famara and San Bartolomé, taking pressure off Teguise’s town centre.
