For 20 years, tourists have walked past an ugly excavated area full of unfinished foundations on the headland between Playa de las Cucharas and Playa Jablillo in Costa Teguise.
Now, the Canarian Government has given the green light to the Niveria Beach SLU company for the development of a four-star complex in the location.
The three-storey complex will have 143 apartments, providing space for 292 tourists, and a restaurant, spa and gym are also planned.
The project will require the approval of Lanzarote’s Cabildo. As a result, no dates have yet been provided for the works.
