A 23-year-old motorcyclist died yesterday morning after falling from his bike on the LZ-2 main road near the airport.
Emergency services were called at 12.28 am, and the young man was rushed to hospital , where preparations were being made to fly him urgently to the main provincial hospital in Las Palmas. However, the man had died before this could occur.
This is the second time this week a motorist has suffered a fatal accident on Lanzarote’s roads, following the death of a 37-year-old man after a head-on collision with a car last Sunday.
