Storm Therese will start to bring rain and unsettled weather to the Canary Islands later today.

The 19th Atlantic storm of the season will bring a strong possibility of light, scattered, and occasional rain, with isolated showers this afternoon.  Wind will veer southwest after midday, increasing to moderate by the end of the day.

Tomorrow will really see the effects of the storm that will pass towards the west of the islands, with cloudy skies and a 100% possibility of rain during the daytime. There is a chance of localised showers and strong gusts of wind in higher areas. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged, with a slight fall in minimums.

The south and south-westerly winds are predicted to continue until early next week, with continued possibility of rain and showers. However, no weather warnings have yet been issued, indicating that the conditions pose no risk to the public.
