Famous Asturian singer, Melendi, is reported to have brought more than 60,000 to his concert in Mancha Blanca.

Melendi hosted a massive concert in Mancha Blanca this week and proved the icing on the cake of a long-awaited festival after Covid postponements. The concert was attended by more than 60,000 people according to estimates provided by security personnel.
The Cabildo, presided by María Dolores Corujo, introduced Melendi to the Mancha Blanca stage where he would go on to perform songs from his album “likes y Cicatrices”.
Melendi addressed the audience several times throughout the night to “thank them for the great welcome.”.
Corujo thanked the visitors for a night without incidents and the more than 150 security personnel who “gave their all to ensure that the evening was enjoyed without incident.”.
“Last night, Lanzarote lived a much-missed event after the pandemic. The end of the Los Dolores festival brought everyone together in a concert that we will not forget… thanks to Melendi for his professionalism. Lanzarote deserved a magical night.”.
The Mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, added that last night was “never seen before. The queues of cars came from Tinajo to Arrecife.”.
