Man rescued from Puerto del Carmen harbour

A man was evacuated by emergency services after falling in a rocky zone near the old town harbour in Puerto del Carmen.

The man was reported to have lost consciousness and suffered convulsions after the fall, which occurred in an area that was difficult to access.

Firemen used a basket stretcher to lift the man out, after which he was attended by paramedics and taken to the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.
