NAVILAN is far more than a traditional market; it’s a full-scale Christmas extravaganza. Looking back at last year’s event, you can look forward to a day of thrill and enchantment with a host of unique attractions. Soar high above the city on a giant 32-meter Ferris wheel for breathtaking panoramic views of Arrecife’s Christmas lights. Then, embrace the winter spirit by gliding on a real ice rink, a rare and exciting experience here in the Canary Islands.

The magic continues in a special snow-filled igloo where it constantly snows, much to the delight of children and adults alike. For an extra dose of adrenaline, you can even slide down a snowy slope on inflatable sleds at high speed.

At the heart of the festivities lies the charming Christmas market. Here, you can wander through decorated stalls offering a wonderful selection of local crafts, unique toys, souvenirs, and delicious gastronomic treats. It’s the perfect place to find a unique gift and soak up the joyful festive atmosphere.

With its incredible scale and magical attractions, NAVILAN is set to be the epicentre of Christmas joy in Lanzarote.

NAVILAN 2025

The fair is located at the Solar de Ginory, an area near top of the Charco de San Ginés usually used as a car park, and last year featured a big wheel, an ice rink, a giant slide, a children’s “winter igloo” and more than 20 food and drink stalls.

Navilan 2025 returns this year, confirmed this week to be opening on December 11th and closing on January 5th.

Please note: The specific dates and opening times for the events at the fair have not been officially announced. As soon as the full programme is confirmed, we will publish all the details in English right here.

HOW TO GET TO NAVILAN

By public transport

The nearest Intercity bus stop is Los Alonso, which is about a kilometre away from the fair. It’s the first stop after IKEA if you’re coming from Costa Teguise, and it’s also close to Lanzarote’s newest shopping centre, the Open Mall. Once you get off you can head back down to the seafront, turn right at the roundabout with a sculpture of fishermen casting their nets, head past the little lighthouse and you’ll soon reach the fair site.

A little further away, but well worth it, is walking the two kilometres along Arrecife’s seafront from the Intercambiador (Interchange). This bus stop is unmistakeable – next to Arrecife’s city beach of Reducto, and is  the first one in Arrecife if you’re coming from Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca.

There’s a shuttle bus service along the seafront every 20 minutes, but it’s well worth the walk to enjoy Arrecife’s Christmas lights and impressive nativity scene.

From Costa Teguise – Lines 3, Line 1 (does not go to Intercambiador)

From Puerto del Carmen – Line 3, Line 2 (does not go to Los Alonso)

From Playa Blanca: Line 60, Line 62 (does not go to Los Alonso)

By car

If you’re driving, finding a parking spot nearby may be a challenge. The Lanzarote Marina or the streets around Valterra are worth a try, and there are often roadside spaces on the lower stretch of the Rambla Medular. It’s a pretty safe area to park, but don’t leave valuables in your car.

By taxi

A taxi will cost roughly €60 from Playa Blanca, €23-30 from Puerto del Carmen and €17-20 from Costa Teguise.
