CACT Director, Ángel Vázquez, has revealed that Lanzarote’s tourist centres recorded a turnover of 49.5 million euros, and a profit of 5.6 million euros, with 750,000 fewer visitors.

“More income, more benefits, and greater well-being for Lanzarote with a lower number of visitors”, is the main conclusion of the CACT’s 2024 financial year, reports Vázquez.

The total turnover of 2024 amounts to 49.5 million euros, 31.9% higher than the previous year. Vázquez also announced that the CACT expect a profit of 4.2 million euros by May 31st this year.

Vázquez pointed out that the recent increase in ticket prices, recalculation of fees, and managing expenditures were among the main pillars on which the new management model is based.

“It has allowed us to increase our contribution to the well-being of the island’s population and, simultaneously, reduce the pressure of the human footprint on Manrique’s work”, Vázquez stated.

OTHER MILESTONES

Vázquez also pointed out other milestones from the previous year, including the recovery and reintroduction of the original staff uniforms designed by Manrique, the restoration of Manrique’s Monumento al Campesino structure, and the implementation of an online ticketing system for Cueva de los Verdes.
