The Lanzarote Data Centre have just released tourism figures for August this year.

The Centro de Datos is a great source for all things Lanzarote data, and they have just published August 2022’s tourism numbers.

August is the first month in which the island has exceeded pre-pandemic levels. While tourism is growing, it remains 10% down on 2019 over the year as a whole, with just over 1.7 million people visiting the island in the first eight months of 2022.

The tourist figures for August 2022 are as follows:

Germany – 17,117
Belgium – 5,945
France – 18,038
Netherlands – 29,097
Ireland – 9,518
Italy – 8,343
Nordic Countries – 3,816
United Kingdom – 124,117
Other – 9,051
TOTAL – 278,200

August 2019 figures in comparison with August 2022 figures:
Spain
– 42,400 (20% less than in August 22′)
Germany – 22,303 (30% more than in August 22′)
Belgium – 4,449 (25% less than in August 22′)
France – 19,213 (6.5% more than in August 22′)
Netherlands – 7,754 (73% less than in August 22′)
Ireland – 31,571 (231% more than in August 22′)
Italy – 7,038 (15% less than in August 22′)
Nordic Countries – 2,375 (37% less than in August 22′)
United Kingdom – 123,849 (0.21% less than in August 22′)
Other – 12,832 (41% more than in August 22′)
TOTAL – 273,783
